[12-26-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – 53-Year-Old Man Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle on Highway 138 in Palmdale

A 53-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Palmdale late Friday night, December 26, 2023.

According to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, the collision occurred at around 10:00 p.m. on Highway 138 at Sixth Street East.

The 53-year-old was walking in the left lane of the street when the vehicle was eastbound on the boulevard at about 40 mph. The driver failed to avoid striking the victim, who was thrown into the left lane of the northbound road.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver did not cite any complaints of pain or injury.

The investigation revealed that there was no evidence that the driver had been under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Neither the driver’s nor the pedestrian’s names have been released.
