An unidentified woman died following a hit-and-run collision in Oroville late Friday evening, December 29, 2023.

According to the Oroville Police Department, the fatal collision occurred around 11:37 p.m. near Feather River Cinemas.

As the authorities arrived, the victim was found lying on the road, unconscious. The woman died at the scene despite life-saving attempts.

OPD reported that the involved car and driver have not yet been found. There were parts of the vehicle recovered at the scene, and it is suspected that a silver-colored vehicle struck the victim.
