A 27-year-old man identified as Nicholas B. was killed after a deadly two-vehicle crash with a suspected DUI driver on Cambridge Drive on Monday night, September 6.

[09-06-2021] Alameda County, CA - One Person Killed After a Deadly Two-Vehicle Crash on Cambridge DriveThe fatal collision occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Cambridge Drive at Fernside Boulevard. A northbound vehicle was driving on Cambridge Drive when it failed to yield at the intersection and T-boned a westbound car driven by Nicholas B. on Fernside Boulevard.

Due to the severity of the impact, the westbound vehicle crashed into a residential home in the area. The driver of the westbound car was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was seriously injured and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the other driver was also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police later determined that the other driver was under the influence at the time of the accident. He was then arrested for DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. The case is currently under further investigation.
