A 35-year-old Antioch resident sustained significant injuries after his vehicle collided with a truck in Oakland on Thursday morning, September 17.

The van rolled down an embankment and caught fire. Officers stopped the van and put out the fire.

One person was trapped inside the van. The emergency personnel extricated him. The extricated victim sustained severe injuries from the accident. He was immediately taken to an area hospital to receive treatment. The second driver was reportedly uninjured.
