A 68-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a passing vehicle in Antioch on Wednesday night, October 7.

The elderly pedestrian was walking on E. Tregallas Road outside of a designated crosswalk when a small SUV suddenly hit him.

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries from the accident. He was immediately transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His name and identity have not been released at the moment.
