[10-18-2020] Contra Costa County, CA – Two People Injured After a Head-On Crash at Camino Tassajara

Two people were injured due to a head-on collision in a rural area in Contra Costa County on Sunday night, October 18.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s initial reports, the major car collision happened at around 6:45 p.m. about a half-mile north of the intersection of Camino Tassajara and Windemere Parkway. A black Chrysler and a white Volkswagen collided head-on on the roadway for unexplained reasons. It is currently unclear why the two vehicles crashed into each other.

One of the drivers had to be airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek while the other driver was transported to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley.

Neither of the victims suffered from life-threatening injuries. The California Highway Patrol suspect that drugs or alcohol may have played a part in the accident.
