An unidentified driver was killed after a fatal collision involving a semi-truck on Mount Whitney Avenue on Thursday afternoon, October 14.

Due to the severity of the impact, the driver of the Mercedes was ejected from the vehicle. The driver, who was the only occupant in the Mercedes, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the big rig was uninjured in the mishap. He remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities.

Information about the crash is limited at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case.

Fatal Semi-Truck Crash Statistics
