[08-13-2020] Fresno County, CA – 5 People Hurt After a Multi-Vehicle Collision on Blackstone

Five people sustained varying degrees of injury after a multi-vehicle traffic collision in North Fresno on Thursday morning, August 13.

The accident happened at around 9:00 a.m. on Blackstone Avenue, near Herndon Avenue. A total of six vehicles were involved in the crash. A Chevrolet Tahoe SUV was traveling at high speed on Blackstone Avenue and crossed over the center median, which caused it to crash into four vehicles. It then crashed into a tree before colliding with the fifth vehicle.

Two victims were pinned inside the Chevy due to the severity of the impact. Five people were rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center as a result of the accident. The majority of them sustained moderate to major injuries.

Police are attempting to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
