Five people sustained varying degrees of injury after a multi-vehicle traffic collision in North Fresno on Thursday morning, August 13.
The accident happened at around 9:00 a.m. on Blackstone Avenue, near Herndon Avenue. A total of six vehicles were involved in the crash. A Chevrolet Tahoe SUV was traveling at high speed on Blackstone Avenue and crossed over the center median, which caused it to crash into four vehicles. It then crashed into a tree before colliding with the fifth vehicle.
Two victims were pinned inside the Chevy due to the severity of the impact. Five people were rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center as a result of the accident. The majority of them sustained moderate to major injuries.
Police are attempting to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
Multi-Vehicle Collision Investigation is Underway
Local authorities are currently investigating the case. When three or more cars collide on the roadway, it is considered a multi-vehicle collision. This type of car accident is commonly caused by a “chain reaction,” when one car bumps into another, which causes the other to hit the next vehicle.
Multi-vehicle collisions are commonly caused by drunk driving, speeding, and distracted driving. It can be quite challenging to pinpoint liability during a multi-vehicle collision investigation, which is why it is essential to hire an experienced Fresno County car accident attorney to conduct independent research. Attorneys can re-interview important witnesses, review relevant surveillance footage from the scene, and obtain the responsible party’s phone and texting records.
Personal Injury Attorney for Victims of Multi-Vehicle Collisions in Fresno County
Victims of car collisions may find themselves confused and overwhelmed, as dealing with car accident cases alone can be quite challenging.
Pending the results of the official investigation, the victims are encouraged to pursue a personal injury claim with their attorney’s assistance. Through the personal injury claim, they can seek compensation for the damages (such as loss of income, pain, and suffering, medical expenses, and emotional distress) that the accident has caused them.
Attorneys can serve as a compassionate, helpful legal guide for the victims. They will vigorously fight for their client’s rights and best interests while ensuring that the liable party will be held accountable for their negligence.
