[12-07-2020] Fresno County, CA – Fatal Bicycle Crash in North Clovis Kills One Person

A 73-year-old woman identified as Stacey Dunnicliff was killed due to a deadly bicycle crash in northern Clovis on Monday morning, December 7.

The crash transpired at approximately 11:15 p.m. at Academy Avenue and Sierra Avenue just north of Clovis.  The victim was reportedly riding her bicycle along the right side of northbound Academy Avenue when she veered left into the northbound lane of Academy Avenue.

A Toyota Sequoia pickup then struck her. The victim was ejected from her bicycle due to the severity of the impact. She sustained significant injuries from the crash and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

Drugs and alcohol were not considered as factors in the crash. 

Fatal Bicycle Accident Investigation is Underway

Local authorities are currently investigating the fatal crash. They will attempt to determine the factors that affected the accident.
