[10-18-2020] Fresno County, CA – One Man Killed in a Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 99

A 47-year-old disabled man identified as Albert Johnson due to a fatal hit-and-run accident on Highway 99 on early Sunday morning, October 18.

According to the local authorities’ initial reports, the fatal accident took place at the on-ramp to Highway 99 at Olive Avenue in Fresno at around 2:42 a.m.

The victim was attempting to cross the street in his wheelchair when a dark-colored Mitsubishi suddenly struck him.

The Mitsubishi driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.

Emergency personnel rushed the victim to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
