[05-03-2021] Fresno County, CA – One Person Killed After a Deadly Two-Vehicle Collision in Southwest Fresno

One unidentified man was killed after a fatal two-vehicle collision at an intersection in southwest Fresno on Monday afternoon, May 3.

[05-03-2021] Fresno County, CA - One Person Killed After a Deadly Two-Vehicle Collision in Southwest FresnoThe deadly collision took place at the intersection of Oleander Avenue and Pickford Avenue at approximately 5:00 p.m. A black Mercedes was reportedly heading westbound on Oleander Avenue when it struck a southbound vehicle for unclear reasons. The Mercedes driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.

Emergency personnel performed life-saving measures on the second driver. Unfortunately, the second driver was unable to survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Information about the hit-and-run driver’s identity and the type of vehicle he was driving is currently unavailable. Local authorities are currently investigating the case. The police are actively pursuing the hit-and-run driver. Witnesses that can give information about the suspect’s whereabouts are encouraged to call the Fresno police.
