[05-24-2021] Fresno County, CA – Semi-Truck Accident in Visalia Injures One Person

One person was hurt after a major semi-truck collision in Visalia on Monday morning, May 24.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident happened around 5:15 a.m. on Walnut Avenue and Demary Street. A Frito-Lay truck was heading eastbound on Walnut Avenue when the driver suddenly collided with a Dodge Challenger.

Authorities suspect that the semi-truck may have driven through a red light at the time of the accident. One person was injured due to the collision and was taken to Kaware Health Medical Center for treatment.

Drugs and alcohol were not considered as factors in the collision. Part of Walnut Avenue and Demary was closed down to give way for the cleanup and investigation.  Local authorities are further investigating the case.
