One unidentified person was hurt after a motorcycle crash in north Bakersfield on Monday afternoon, November 8, 2021.
The crash transpired at approximately 3:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 99, just south of 7th Standard Road.
A part of the truck fell off the road and hit a motorcyclist that was traveling on the highway. Due to the severity of the impact, the motorcycle rider was ejected from his vehicle and landed on the highway’s right shoulder.
The motorcycle rider sustained major injuries in the crash. He was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the truck driver was uninjured by the impact.
Information about the accident is limited at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. Local authorities will further investigate the cause of the crash.
