[11-29-2020] Kern County, CA – 1 Killed, 1 Injured After a Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Bakersfield

An unidentified 19-year-old man was killed while a 21-year-old man was hurt due to a deadly two-vehicle crash in Bakersfield on Sunday morning, November 29.

According to the local authorities’ initial reports, the accident transpired at around 2:49 a.m. on Panama Lane, east of Highway 43.

The 19-year-old man was driving his 2006 Toyota Corolla westbound on Panama Lane when, for unclear reasons, it drifted off the roadway and overturned in the eastbound lane.

A 2017 Toyota Camry headed eastbound then struck the Toyota Corolla. The Corolla driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The Camry driver was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Alcohol and drugs were not considered as factors in the fatal accident.

Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision Investigation is Underway
