[05-28-2020] Kern County, CA – One Man Dead After a Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 166

An unidentified 63-year-old man from Bakersfield died after a fatal multi-vehicle accident in the east of Maricopa on Thursday afternoon, May 28th.

State 166According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred at around 1:43 p,n. On Highway 166 and Pentland Road.

The Bakersfield man was reportedly driving westbound on Highway 166 when his car veered into the eastbound lanes and was eventually hit by a tractor-trailer, then later struck a Subaru.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as Ralph Seeley from Arizona. In contrast, the Subaru driver was identified as a 63-year-old woman named Karen Almas from San Luis Obispo.

Unfortunately, the Bakersfield man died in the accident. The tractor-trailer driver was uninjured while the Subaru driver sustained minor to moderate injuries and was transported to the Kern Medical Center to receive treatment.
