[10-14-2020] Kern County, CA – One Man Injured after an Electric Scooter Accident in Oildale

An unidentified man was seriously injured after a passing vehicle struck the electric scooter he was riding in Oildale on early Wednesday morning, October 14.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s initial reports, the collision occurred on Roberts Lane in Oildale. The unidentified man was riding an electric scooter in the bike lane when he rode into the street; a passing Honda later struck him.

The man suffered severe injuries from the mishap. He was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment. The driver of the Honda was unhurt and remained at the scene to cooperate with local authorities.

Alcohol and drugs were not considered as factors in the crash.
