A 62-year-old woman was killed after a fatal two-vehicle collision in Tehachapi on late Sunday night, June 6th.
The deadly collision transpired at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Highway 58 near Broome Road in Tehachapi.
A CHP officer tried to pull over a vehicle in Barstow for a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop and continued driving through Tehachapi.
The driver then went onto Highway 58 from Highway 202 and was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes. The suspect then crashed into an eastbound vehicle near Broome Road.
Both of the drivers were seriously injured as a result of the crash. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Fishold, who was a passenger of the eastbound vehicle, was killed in the collision. An active investigation of the crash is currently underway.
