A 21-year-old woman identified as Jasmine Leann S. was killed after a fatal head-on collision in Arvin on early Monday morning, October 18.

A four-door sedan was recklessly driving in the wrong direction when it collided head-on with an oncoming big rig. Due to the severity of the impact, both vehicles ended up in the ditch after the crash.

One person was killed as a result of the mishap. She was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. The case is currently under further investigation.
