[01-03-2021] Los Angeles, CA – Big Rig Collision in Willowbrook Kills One

A 21-year-old woman identified as Alyssa Mendoza was killed after a deadly big rig collision in Willowbrook on Sunday night, January 3.

The accident occurred at around 10:51 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway at Wilmington Avenue.

The victim was reportedly driving a compact SUV on the freeway when, for unexplained reasons, she collided with an oncoming big rig before crashing into a wall and overturning it.

The circumstances leading up to the collision have not been established. Mendoza was killed as a result of the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The big rig driver was unhurt from the accident. He remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities.
