[07-26-2020] Los Angeles, CA – One Man Killed in a Bicycle Accident in Long Beach

A 30-year-old man identified as Dannon Santiago was killed after a fatal hit-and-run bicycle accident in Long Beach on early Sunday morning, July 26.

According to the Long Beach Police Department’s initial reports, the fatal crash occurred around 3:00 a.m. The victim was initially heading southbound on Orange Avenue when he was suddenly struck by an unspecified vehicle near Del Amo Boulevard. The officers were dispatched to Orange Avenue and Del Amo Boulevard after receiving a report about a hit-and-run bicycle accident.

Officers found the victim’s body on the roadway. Personnel from the Long Beach Fire Department arrived on the scene and attempted to save the victim, but unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead at the scene. The driver that struck the victim fled the scene.
