A 19-year-old man identified as Christian Inman was killed after a fatal two-vehicle traffic collision in Whittier on Wednesday night, November 11.
The accident transpired at around 10:35 p.m. on Carmenita Road and Imperial Highway in Whittier. A Toyota Corolla and an Audi Sedan were involved in the fatal collision.
The Toyota Corolla was initially attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Imperial 3Highway when the Audi ran a red light and entered the intersection. The two vehicles then collided on the roadway. The Audi’s passenger side hit a traffic-signal pole on the northeast corner due to the collision.
Due to the severity of the impact, Inman, who was Audi’s front passenger, sustained life-threatening injuries. He was later declared dead on the scene. The Audi driver, along with three other occupants, sustained significant injuries from the accident. The Toyota driver was uninjured from the crash.
