[08-03-2020] Los Angeles, CA – One Woman Hurt After a Car Accident in Downey

An unidentified woman was hurt after a two-vehicle traffic collision in Downey on Monday morning, August 3.

According to the initial reports from a local news source, the accident occurred at around 7:33 a.m. A gray Kia Optima and a silver Honda sedan collided head-on on Interstate 605 Freeway near Studebaker Road for unclear reasons.

Due to the impact, the Kia had moderate front-end damage in the collision. One of the vehicles caught smoke but fortunately, didn’t catch on fire. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene where they saw an injured woman lying on the roadway. The woman was immediately transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.
