[01-05-2021] Los Angeles, CA – Pedestrian Killed After a Fatal Hit-and-Run in Long Beach

An unidentified woman was killed after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver in Long Beach on Tuesday night, January 5.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Market Street in Long Beach. The victim was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection when an unspecified southbound vehicle suddenly struck her.

The driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene, and they were reportedly driving at high speeds.

Unfortunately, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Local authorities are currently pursuing the hit-and-run driver. They are looking for a red sedan with significant front-end damage.
