[09-10-2020] Los Angeles, CA – Two People Injured After a Big Rig Crash in Harbor City

A two-vehicle traffic collision involving a big rig in Harbor City injured at least two people on Thursday afternoon, September 10.

According to the local authorities’ initial reports, the collision transpired around 4:00 p.m. on Harbor (110) Freeway near Vermont Avenue. A tanker truck traveling south on Harbor Freeway suddenly drifted off the roadway for unexplained reasons and rolled down onto Vermont Avenue. A sedan was said to be involved in the accident. How the collision occurred and why it happened have not been established.

Both the driver of the big rig and sedan sustained injuries from the accident. They were both taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Seventy-five gallons of diesel fuel were spilled due to the severity of the impact. A hazmat team responded to the scene. The freeway was closed down to give way for the cleanup and investigation.
