[09-29-2020] Los Angeles, CA – Two Young Boys Killed by The Director of the Grossman Burn Center’s Wife in an Alleged DUI Accident

Two young brothers were killed after an alleged drunk driver struck in Westlake Village on Tuesday night, September 29.

The fatal accident happened near Triunfo Canyon Road and Saddle Mountain Drive at around 7:10 p.m. The two children and their other family members were crossing the intersection in a marked crosswalk when a vehicle driving at high speed suddenly hit the two children.

One boy was pronounced dead at the scene while the other child was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was later pronounced dead as well. The driver was identified as 57-year-old Rebecca Grossman, the wife of Dr. Peter Grossman, who is the director of the Grossman Burn Center in West Hills. She was arrested on two counts of vehicular manslaughter and DUI, with bail amounting up to $2,000,000.

Speeding and alcohol were considered factors in the crash. The police are also attempting to determine whether the suspect left the scene at the time of the accident.
