Six people were injured after a hit-and-run crash in Long Beach on early Sunday morning, October 31st.

[10-31-2021] Los Angeles County, CA - Six People Injured After a Hit-and-Run Accident in Long BeachThe accident occurred at approximately 2:45 a.m. in the 1300 block of Orange Avenue in Long Beach. A group of people was standing outside a home during a Halloween party when a blue sedan suddenly plowed into the crowd of people. Five adults and a teenager were injured as a result of the accident.

All six victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment, some of them suffering from broken bones. They are expected to recover. The suspect then drove away from the scene, but authorities were later able to identify and apprehend the hit-and-run driver.

According to reports, the incident began as a “domestic violence incident between an adult male and an adult female.” The woman was hit by the suspect’s car along with several others. The suspect was then identified as 27-year-old Richard Dalton I.

He was arrested and charged with six counts of attempted murder, six counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of felony domestic violence at the Long Beach City Jail.
