[07-11-2021] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Killed After a Fatal Electric Scooter Accident in Walnut

A 68-year-old man identified as Edmund S. was killed after his mobility scooter was struck by a passing vehicle in Walnut on Sunday afternoon, July 11.

The fatal accident happened at the intersection of Amar Road and Country Hollow Drive at around 4:35 p.m. The older man was riding his medical mobility scooter along the road when a passing vehicle suddenly struck him.

The driver that struck the man immediately stopped and pulled over. He remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities. The driver claims that the sun may have affected his vision at the time of the accident.
