An unidentified man was killed after getting involved in a fatal pedestrian accident in Wilmington on Monday morning, July 26.
The fatal accident took place at Avalon Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway in Wilmington just after midnight. A southbound vehicle reportedly struck the identified man who was crossing the street on Avalon Boulevard.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. It’s unclear what caused him to struck the pedestrian. Unfortunately, the unidentified man who was suspected to be homeless sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional information about the accident is unavailable. No arrests have been made at the moment.
