Three people were killed, while two others were hurt after a multi-vehicle traffic crash in Burbank on Tuesday night, August 3.

Three vehicles were involved in the collision. A Kia and a Mercedes Benz were traveling northbound on Glenoaks Boulevard at high speeds.

Authorities suspect that the two vehicles may have been participating in a street race. Meanwhile, a Volkswagen attempted to turn from southbound Glenoaks Boulevard to eastbound Andover Drive. The Volkswagen then got caught up in the collision.

Emergency personnel and local authorities later arrived at the scene and found three people ejected from their vehicle. One vehicle also reportedly caught fire after the crash. The three ejected parties were fatally injured in the mishap and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two people sustained serious injuries in the accident and were rushed to an area hospital for treatment. They are currently in critical condition.
