[05-17-2021] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Hurt After a Two-Vehicle Crash in Gardena

One person was seriously hurt after a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Gardena on Monday afternoon, May 17.

[05-17-2021] Los Angeles County, CA - One Person Hurt After a Two-Vehicle Crash in GardenaThe collision transpired at approximately 1:06 p.m. at the intersection of S. Avalon Boulevard and E Redondo Beach Boulevard in Gardena.

A gray BMW and a gold sedan collided at the intersection. How the collision occurred, and the reason why it happened has not been established. The BMW driver got out of the vehicle and sat on the curb; he/she was reportedly injured.

The occupants of the gold sedan were trapped. Multiple parties at the scene attempted to help both the driver and the passenger of the gold sedan to get out of their vehicle. Firefighters later arrived at the scene and assisted both of the parties.

One person sustained m/ajor injuries from the accident. An ambulance was sent to the scene to transport the patient to an area hospital. The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the case.
