An unidentified person was fatally wounded after a deadly two-vehicle traffic collision in Hawthorne on Tuesday morning, May 4.

A Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro collided on the roadway under unclear circumstances. How the collision occurred and the reasons why it happened has not been established.

Both of the vehicles were turned on their sides due to the severity of the impact. One person sustained fatal injuries as a result of the mishap. The identity of the deceased party has not been disclosed.
