An unidentified pedestrian was injured after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver at an intersection in Newhall on Monday night, October 12.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s initial reports, the accident happened at around 7:10 p.m. in the area of Railroad Avenue and 8th Street. The pedestrian was struck in the intersection by a passing vehicle for unclear reasons. How the collision occurred, and the reason why it happened has not been established.
Emergency personnel immediately responded to the scene to assist the victim. He was taken to an area hospital for further treatment. The drive did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. Authorities describe his car as a possibly damaged red Ford Mustang.
