[08-01-2021] Los Angeles County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Getting Struck by a Vehicle and a Train in Pasadena

An unidentified pedestrian was killed after getting hit by a vehicle and then a train in Pasadena on Sunday night, August 1st.

The deadly crash transpired at approximately 9:05 p.m. on the Foothill (210) Freeway at the Lake Avenue Gold Line station in Pasadena. The victim was reportedly walking along the eastbound side of the freeway when a passing vehicle suddenly struck him.

Due to the severity of the impact, his body was thrown onto the railroad tracks, where he was later struck by a train. The victim was fatally injured in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the man remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the cause of the fatal accident. They will attempt to determine the factors and the liability.
