[07-28-2021] Los Angeles County, CA – Teen Injured After a Scooter Crash in Newhall

An unidentified 15-year-old was seriously hurt after getting involved in a scooter accident in Newhall on Wednesday night, July 28.

The accident transpired at approximately 8:00 p.m. in the area of Sierra Highway and Dockweller Drive in Newhall. The 15-year-old was reportedly riding a scooter in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passing vehicle. It is unclear what caused the vehicle to struck the teen.

Emergency personnel later arrived at the scene and found the teen lying on the roadway with unspecified injuries. The teenager was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment. Details surrounding the accident are limited at the moment.

The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. The accident is currently under investigation. Authorities will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the crash.
