One person was injured after a two-vehicle traffic collision on State Route 41 in O’Neals on Thursday morning, August 6.

A 2004 Dodge Durango suddenly hit her vehicle on SR-41. The Dodge driver was reportedly unable to maintain his lane, which caused his vehicle to cross into the northbound lane, overturned, and crashed into the victim’s Altima.

The victim sustained injuries and was rushed to Madera Community Hospital to receive treatment. Dodge driver was killed in the crash. His two passengers were uninjured. Alcohol and drugs were not considered factors in the accident, but officials suspect that the Dodge driver may have been speeding at the accident.

The CHP is currently attempting to determine the cause of the accident through the official investigation.
