[02-04-2021] Napa County, CA – Woman Killed in a Deadly Two-Vehicle Collision on Soscol Avenue

An 85-year-old woman identified as Mary S. was killed after a fatal two-vehicle collision on Soscol Avenue on Thursday afternoon, February 4.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the crash occurred at around 2:15 p.m. in Soscol Avenue and Silverado Trail.

A northbound 2015 Volkswagen Jetta collided with a 2001 BMW x5 sport-utility vehicle attempting to turn left from southbound Soscol Avenue. The 85-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen Jetta and the 49-year-old driver was rushed to Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.

Unfortunately, the 85-year-old passenger later died in the hospital. The 50-year-old male driver of the BMW refused medical treatment. No arrests have been made at the moment.

Local authorities are currently investigating the accident. They will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in this case.
