An unidentified person was hurt after a traffic collision involving a motorcycle in Westminster on Thursday afternoon, August 12.

A work truck and a motorcycle collided on the roadway under unclear circumstances. How the collision occurred, and the reason it happened has not been established.

Due to the severity of the impact, the rider was reportedly ejected from his motorcycle and landed on the center divider. The motorcycle rider was immediately taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. It’s unclear whether the other driver was injured in the mishap.

The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the possible causes of the collision.
