[08-23-2020] Orange County, CA – 1 Killed, Four Injured After a Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Eastern Transportation Corridor (241)

One person was killed while four others were hurt after a two-vehicle traffic collision in Orange County on Sunday evening, August 23.

The deadly crash took place on the Eastern Transportation Corridor (241) near Santiago Canyon Road. According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Sequoia SUV and a Nissan Versa side-swiped each other on the toll road near Santiago Canyon Road.

The reason why the collision occurred is currently unclear. The Sequoia reportedly flipped and veered onto the center divider. One person was killed as a result of the collision. Fourth other people sustained varying degrees of injury and were taken to area hospitals.
