[09-21-2021] Orange County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed After a Suspected DUI Crash at the City Drive

An unidentified motorcycle rider was killed after a suspected DUI crash at the City Drive on Tuesday night, September 21.

[09-21-2021] Orange County, CA - Motorcyclist Killed After a Suspected DUI Crash at the City DriveThe deadly collision transpired at approximately 10:15 p.m. in the area of the City Drive and the 5 Freeway off-ramp. The motorcycle rider allegedly ran a red light and rear-ended an SUV.

The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities.  He was identified as 50-year-old Eric G.  The motorcycle rider was fatally injured in the crash.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed. Authorities later determined that the SUV driver was under the influence at the time of the accident.

He was arrested on vehicular manslaughter and DUI-related charges. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
