[06-23-2020] Orange County, CA – One Pedestrian Killed, Another Injured After Getting Hit by a Truck in Costa Mesa

A 49-year-old man identified as Juan Martinez Hernandez was killed while another pedestrian was injured after getting hit by a pickup truck outside of a Home Depot store in Costa Mesa on Tuesday morning, June 23rd.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident happened at around 11:50 a.m. Two pedestrians were struck by a pickup truck near the lumber area of Home Depot on 2300 Harbor Boulevard.

Both of the victims were rushed to the Orange County Global Medical Center to receive treatment for their injuries. Unfortunately, Hernandez succumbed to his injuries and died shortly after.

The condition of the other pedestrian was not disclosed.

The driver of the pickup truck cooperated with the local authorities. No arrests have been made as of today.
