One unidentified person was killed after a multi-vehicle traffic collision in Roseville on Wednesday morning, March 10.

An unspecified vehicle was reportedly attempting to enter an on-ramp towards westbound I-80 when, for unclear reasons, the driver lost control and collided with another vehicle traveling on I-80.

Due to the severity of the impact, a chain-reaction crash was triggered, causing the other vehicle to struck another car.

One person was killed as a result of the crash. The other involved motorists were uninjured and remained at the scene to cooperate with local authorities.

Authorities believe that the weather may have been a factor in the collision. The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case.
