An unidentified 26-year-old woman was killed after a fatal DUI collision in Roseville on early Friday morning, January 8.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. HighwaT9, just north of Dillard Road in Roseville. The woman was driving a Nissan Sentra northbound on the highway when another vehicle suddenly struck her.
The woman reportedly went out of her vehicle to speak with the other driver. While the two drivers were talking, a Volkswagen Jetta suddenly struck her. The woman sustained fatal injuries from the accident. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities later identified the Volkswagen driver as Jesus S. Hernandez. Local police determined that he was driving while under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
