A 49-year-old woman identified as Heidi Patterson was hurt after a two-vehicle traffic collision at Quincy’s construction zone on Thursday afternoon, August 27.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:12 p.m. on Highway 70 near Blackhawk Road. A 2017 black Hyundai Accent passed through a construction zone when the driver reportedly rubbed her eyes, which caused her to swerve from the westbound lane into the eastbound lane.
The Hyundai Accent then crashed head-on into a white Ram 1500 pickup truck driven by Heidi Patterson. The driver of the Hyundai Accent was identified as a 25-year-old woman from Greenville named Katlyn Faught. The pickup truck driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the collision.
