[07-07-2020] Riverside, CA – Bus Driver Killed in a Fatal Traffic Collision at Barton Street

A bus driver identified as a 56-year-old man named Santos Russell was killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision in Riverside on Tuesday morning, July 7th.

According to the local authorities’ initial reports, the fatal accident occurred at around 11:30 a.m. at Barton Street and Krameria Avenue. A white 2000 Toyota Tundra heading north attempted to make a left turn from Barton Street onto Krameria Avenue in front of the victim’s white Ford bus heading southbound.

The two vehicles then crashed into each other in the intersection. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. Local authorities don’t consider drugs or alcohol as a factor in the fatal crash.
