A 67-year-old man identified as William M. was killed after a fatal two-vehicle collision in Palm Springs on Tuesday night, October 12.

Two unspecified vehicles collided on the roadway under unclear circumstances. How the collision occurred and why it happened have not been established.

Due to the severity of the impact, the 67-year-old man was ejected from his vehicle and landed on the roadway; he sustained severe injuries and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The other driver sustained minor injuries and was immediately rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Additional information about the accident is unavailable at the moment.

Drugs and alcohol were not considered as factors in the collision. The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the case.
