[08-09-2021] Riverside County, CA – Car Crash in Indio Injures 7 People

Seven people were injured after a major traffic collision at an intersection in Indio on Tuesday afternoon, August 9.

The collision happened at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Avenue 42 in Indio at approximately 2:06 p.m. Two vehicles reportedly collided at the intersection in Indio under unclear circumstances. How the collision occurred, and the reason it happened has not been established.

Seven people were injured as a result of the mishap. Four people sustained moderate injuries, while one other person had minor injuries. Two people were seriously injured and were immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. No arrests have been made at the moment. The Indio Police Department and California Highway Patrol are currently investigating the case.
