[09-21-2020] Riverside County, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Desert Hot Springs Kills One

An unidentified older man was killed after being hit by a passing vehicle in Desert Hot Springs on Monday morning, September 21.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred at around 7:00 a.m. on Dillon Road, east of Johnson Road, outside of the Caliente Springs Resort. The older man was walking on the roadway when a passing vehicle driving at 55 mph suddenly struck him.

The cause of the accident has not been established. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and reported the accident.
