The victim sustained severe injuries from the accident, including a fractured neck. They were immediately transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Witnesses that can give more information about the accident are asked to call the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dispatch at 951-776-1099.
Two-Vehicle Collision Investigation is Underway
Local authorities are currently investigating the case. They will attempt to determine the factors that affected the accident.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were 3,304 fatal car accidents in California in 2017. Although head-on collisions only represent 2 percent of accidents, they account for 10 percent of fatalities on U.S. roadways. These accidents are caused by various reasons, such as distracted driving, drunk driving, and driver over-fatigue.
Head-on collision cases like this must be taken seriously. Having an experienced car accident attorney conduct an independent investigation for the victims is essential in winning the case. Attorneys can serve as a reliable legal guide for the victims during this difficult time. They will ensure that their client’s rights and best interests are protected while ensuring that the liable party will be held accountable for his negligence.
