[12-30-2020] Riverside County, CA – One Person Injured After a Motorcycle Crash in Desert Hot Springs

An unidentified motorcyclist was injured after getting hit by a vehicle near Desert Hot Springs in Riverside County on Wednesday afternoon, December 30.

The major collision took place at approximately 3:20 p.m. in an unincorporated swath of open desert in the area of Dillon and Corkill roads.

The motorcyclist was riding a black Ducati Monster motorcycle when a gray Nissan Versa suddenly struck him at the intersection. The motorcyclist sustained unspecified injuries from the crash. His identity and condition have not been disclosed.

The driver of the Nissan Versa did not stop to help the victim and reportedly fled the scene on foot. Local authorities are actively pursuing the hit-and-run driver. Additional information about the crash is unavailable at the moment.

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the case. They will attempt to determine the factors that affected the accident.
