A child was injured after a pedestrian accident at Jackson and Garfield Street on Saturday afternoon, October 9.
The crash transpired at approximately 3:45 p.m. in the area of Jackson Street and Garfield Street.

Due to the severity of the impact, one of the vehicles reportedly struck a juvenile pedestrian who was attempting to cross a crosswalk in Jackson Street.

Due to the severity of the impact, the young victim was ejected into the air and landed on a stopped Toyota Camry on southbound Jackson Street.

The young victim sustained serious in the mishap. They were immediately taken to an area hospital and are currently in critical condition.
